COVID 19 Announcement: How We Are Continuing to Keep You Safe In 2021 Re-introducing in-person appointments with new protocol – click here for full information

Hey there,

Hearing aids have seen many facelifts during the past 100 years.

They’ve shrunk in size and acquired technological features way beyond their inventors’ imaginations.

Today’s devices are sleek and highly sophisticated with
full digitization, smartphone connectivity, and remote assist.

Of course, most manufacturers strive to surpass their current product’s performance, which brings us to the present…

The ReSound ONE is now available, and many believe it will redefine wearers’ experiences.

How the ReSound ONE could be revolutionary

Currently, a handful of our patients are putting the ReSound ONE to the test. Soon we’ll get their feedback.

The general consensus is pretty good, though. And as hearing professionals, we can understand why.

Unlike most hearing aids, which capture sounds via a microphone located behind the ear, the ONE places a third microphone and a receiver inside the outer ear canal.

Therefore, it mimics the way people use their ears to hear, using the outer ear to register the position and frequency

of different noises just as nature intended.

HEARING LOSS IS NO BARRIER
FOR FILMMAKER

While deaf filmmaker Chase Burton was working on his latest film project, he needed to select the “right” kind of music soundtrack for it.

This task might seem impossible to anyone hard of hearing, but Burton pushed all obstacles aside and found an innovative solution.

With the help of California tech company Not Impossible Labs, he wore a suit that enabled him to “feel” music through his skin rather than hear it with his ears.

The suit features twenty-four vibrating points, positioned from the top of his back to his ankles, and lets him know the intensity of various noises.

He hopes the suit will fare just as well outside the film set.

In a recent CNN interview, Chase said, “I see technology as a real opportunity to bring deaf and hearing audiences together and create a new kind of experience.”
